TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cItalian Roots\u201d Prize Draw\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Participation in the \u201cItalian Roots\u201d draw implies the participant's knowledge and acceptance of these terms and conditions. Any violation of them or of the procedures or systems established herein for conducting this competition will result in immediate exclusion and\/or revocation of prizes.
\n1.-\u00a0FROM THE ORGANISER<\/u>The organiser of this prize draw is Associazione di Promozione Sociale \u201cRa\u00edz Italiana\u201d with its registered office at Via Case Sparse, snc, Guagnano, Lecce, Italy.
\n2.-\u00a0Promotion end date<\/u>This promotion will commence on 20\/09\/2019 and, unless these terms and conditions are amended, will run until 20\/10\/2019, which is the date the draw will take place.
\n3.-\u00a0OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR PARTICIPATION \u2013 OF THE PARTICIPANT<\/u>All natural persons may participate, in full compliance with the specifications and conditions detailed in this clause. The ORGANISER establishes as a condition to be considered a PARTICIPANT: a natural person of legal age who completes the questionnaire. Any claim regarding the inclusion and\/or participation in the draw by the PARTICIPANT must be made explicitly, without fail, up to five (5) days prior to the draw; after this period, no claim will be accepted. Legal persons and natural persons under the age of majority are excluded from this draw and therefore cannot participate.
\n4.-\u00a0FROM THE PLACE AND DATE OF THE DRAW<\/u>The draw corresponding to this promotion will take place on 05\/11\/2019 at 20:00 (in Italy) at the headquarters of Associazione Ra\u00edz Italiana, through a random draw based on the email address provided for participation in the draw upon completion of the questionnaire. The notification and prize award process will be as follows: a) The participant who is the winner will be duly notified within a period of ten (10) working days, counted from the date of the draw. b) Once duly notified thereof, they must send an email to the ORGANISER (to the email address consultas@raizitaliana.it), duly accrediting their ownership and identity, within ten (10) working days following notification, to claim their prize and arrange delivery. c) The ORGANISER will issue the winner with proof of submission, which will be considered valid proof and evidence for the aforementioned purposes. If the winner of the draw does not present themselves within the indicated period and under the conditions previously established and\/or does not accredit their status as such, the ORGANISER will proceed to reallocate the prize, assigning it to the next subsequent participant, who will have no right to any subsequent claim whatsoever. The ORGANISER may, consequently, dispose of it freely or declare the prize void.
\n5.-\u00a0OF THE PRIZES<\/u>There will be one (1) winner, entitled to the prize. The prize for this promotion is as follows: a historical-family search in the municipal archives of the Italian ancestor's town of origin. This search, based on the results obtained from documents provided by the municipality, will consist of providing the PARTICIPANT with a descriptive itinerary of the places left to the Italian ancestor in their town of origin. This is provided that the winning PARTICIPANT supplies the minimum and necessary information to carry out this search: Full Name and Year of Birth of the Italian Ancestor, and the Italian Ancestor's Town of Origin. The ORGANISER will not be able to carry out the historical-family search if the data indicated above is incomplete or incorrect. The ORGANISER does not guarantee the results of this historical-family search due to reasons beyond the services provided by the same (absence of the certificate in the municipality, lack of reliable information provided by the participant).
\n6.-\u00a0OF AUTHORISATIONS<\/u>The winner of this promotion expressly authorises the ORGANISER (Associazione di Promozione Sociale Ra\u00edz Italiana) and those it designates for advertising purposes, to disseminate their name, document number, personal details, prizes, images, photographs, voices and\/or those of their family group if applicable, for advertising purposes, in the media, on the ORGANISER's website and in any other format deemed appropriate, without time limit and at no cost to the ORGANISER.
\n7.-\u00a0MODIFICATIONS<\/u>This promotion may be suspended, cancelled and\/or modified in whole or in part, at any time, at the sole discretion of the ORGANISER, subject to notification through mass media, and without any right to claims from participants. The ORGANISER is the unappealable body that will interpret each and every one of the matters that arise in relation to these terms and conditions.
\n8.-\u00a0OF PROHIBITIONS \u2013 LIABILITY<\/u>It is expressly established that, under no circumstances may the participant who wins this promotion exchange or request the exchange of the prize obtained for cash. Likewise, the ORGANISER disclaims any type of responsibility for accidents that may occur during the transport of the prizes, as their role as ORGANISER ends with the delivery of the drawn prize to the PARTICIPANT who wins it.
\nSimply by participating in this promotion, the PARTICIPANT acknowledges and accepts, without condition or reservation, each and every one of the clauses that make up these TERMS AND CONDITIONS, with no right to any claim whatsoever.<\/p>\n

Purpose of processing and legal basis<\/strong>. Personal data acquired through the website will be processed by the Association, without the data subject's consent, pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) and (e) of the GDPR, to manage and maintain the website, to enable the use of services and the fulfilment of user requests, to allow for effective institutional communication, to comply with obligations provided for by law, regulations, EU legislation, or an order from the Authority, or otherwise related to institutional activities and functions, or finally to prevent or detect fraudulent activities or abuses detrimental to the Association through the website.<\/p>\n

Sending emails to the institutional addresses indicated on the portal and completing forms will result in the subsequent acquisition of the sender's address, necessary to respond to requests, as well as any other personal data entered in the email or form. In this case, the data acquired will be processed exclusively to respond to user requests. Specific information or indications on the relevant legislation\/legal basis may be inserted, in relation to particular data processing, on specific pages of the site, in forms or in document templates published on the site.<\/p>\n

Place and method of treatment<\/strong>. The processing of data acquired through the site and\/or connected to the site's services takes place at the Association's offices and possibly at other subjects or IT systems\/servers of other subjects specifically designated as data processors (external). The data processing is carried out both on paper and through the use of IT tools, in accordance with the principles of fairness, lawfulness, transparency, relevance, and proportionality to the purposes of collection and subsequent processing, and following the adoption of adequate security measures aimed at preventing data loss, unlawful or incorrect use, unauthorised access, and in general aimed at ensuring compliance with the provisions of GDPR and Legislative Decree no. 193\/2006 and subsequent amendments. The data is processed exclusively by authorised administrative and technical personnel, or by authorised individuals for occasional maintenance operations. The site and online services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. Data relating to minors may be transmitted to the Association through access to the site and services only by those exercising parental responsibility.<\/p>\n

Obligation or option to provide the data. <\/strong>The user is free to provide the personal data entered in the request forms. Failure to provide the data necessary to render the service may result in the inability to obtain what is requested.<\/p>\n

Shelf life. <\/strong>In accordance with Article 5 of the GDPR, data will be processed and stored for a period no longer than necessary to achieve the purposes of the service and processing, and\/or within the time limits prescribed by law or regulation.<\/p>\n

Communication and dissemination of data. <\/strong>The data provided by Users is not intended for third parties and will not be communicated or disseminated, unless otherwise required by law or regulation (in particular, the data may be communicated to supervisory bodies, judicial authorities, as well as to all other parties to whom communication is obligatory by law for the performance of the aforementioned purposes).<\/p>\n

Transfer of data abroad. <\/strong>Data is not transferred to third countries outside the European Economic Area.<\/p>\n

Data subject rights<\/strong>. All rights specified in Articles 15-20 of the GDPR are guaranteed to the user\/data subject, including the right of access, rectification and erasure of data, the right to restrict and object to processing, the right to withdraw consent to processing (without prejudice to the lawfulness of processing based on consent obtained before withdrawal), and the right to lodge a complaint with the Personal Data Protection Authority if it is believed that processing violates the Regulation. The aforementioned rights can be exercised by written communication to be sent by email, certified email (PEC), or fax, or by registered mail to the Association\u2019s registered office.<\/p>\n

The Data Protection Officer<\/strong> The Data Protection Officer (DPO) appointed by the Association is the Chairman, to whom any interested party may write, in relation to data processing carried out by the Association and\/or in relation to your rights, at the address Via Case Sparse snc, Guagnano (LE). <\/em><\/p>\n

Access to linked external sites<\/strong>. The portal contains links to third-party sites for the user's convenience and further information. When the user uses these links, they leave the Association's institutional website and access a different site, over which the Association has no control and for which it has no responsibility whatsoever regarding data processing. We therefore advise you to examine the policy of each site visited.<\/p>\n

Use of cookies<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Third-party cookies<\/em><\/strong>. Companies that send content to the Association's portal and those accessible via links from the portal's pages (e.g. YouTube, Facebook, etc.) may, at their discretion, use \u201ccookies\u201d, including persistent ones, on users\u201c computers, aimed at storing user browsing data from the moment the user clicks on the relevant link. In this case, the use of \u201dcookies\" is beyond the Association's control. Most browsers automatically accept cookies, but it is also possible to reject them completely, or selectively accept only some, by modifying the browser's security settings (Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari Opera, etc.).
